    Major General P.K  Goswami VSM SDS,  Head of India’s National Defence College (NDC) delegation, now visiting Sri Lanka called on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya on Monday (3) morning at his office at the Army Headquarters. Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya after welcoming him to the Army Headquarters had a cordial exchange of views with him on several matters of bilateral importance.

  • MoD Grant Assists Completion of War Hero's House


    Partially-built house of a War Hero was completed and handed over to the War Hero by Chairperson Ministry of Defence (MoD) Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa recently (23) at Parape, Rambukkana. Private Senanayake H.G.A.K of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), a totally dependant disabled War Hero, received injuries during the Humanitarian Operation in Nayaru area in Welioya on 18 April 2009.
