  • VIR Soldiers Give Blood & Help Contain Thalassemia


    A blood donation campaign for the use of Thalassemia patients in Kurunegala district was conducted by the Headquarters of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) at Boyagane, Kurunegala at the request of Kurunegala Hospital Blood Bank. Thalassemia, found to be fast spreading in the Kurunegala District constantly requires transfusion of blood since the disease impairs growth of human cells.
