Major General D.S.K Wijesooriya (Rtd) RWP RSP USP psc of the Sri Lanka Engineers passed away on Sunday (18 February 2024) due to a brief illness at the Colombo Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 79 years of age at the time of his demise.
His distinguished service and unwavering commitment to duty have always assisted to discover the new dimensions and contributed for the development of the organization and the country. The mortal remains of the departed officer reposed at Jayaratne VIP Parlour, from 20 February 2024 at 6.00 pm onwards for the last respect.
His funeral with full military honours will take place on 21 February 2024 at Borella General Cemetery crematorium at 5.30 pm.
