Troops of 11 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (11 (V) SLSR) distributed dairy cows to support the livelihoods of struggling farmers in Kokkadicholei area. The distribution took place at 11 (V) SLSR premises on 11 February 2024. Brigadier K.M.C.S Kumarasinghe, Commander, 243 Infantry Brigade graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Accordingly, six farmers were selected to receive dairy cows. Under the coordination of Major General M.K.U.P Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander, Security Forces - East and with the assistance of Mr. Vidura Ranasinghe, 'International Vipassana Bhawana Center' in Colombo 07, dairy cows were provided to the selected farmers.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participate in the occasion.
