Commander of the SFHQ- Jaffna Made his Maiden Visit to 52 Infantry Division

Newly appointed Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters-Jaffna, (SF-Jaffna) Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, made his maiden official visit to 52 Infantry Division and its under command brigades and battalions during 05 and 06 February 2024.

The visiting, Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna, was warmly welcomed by Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division following military formalities.

Addressing the troops Commander, SF-Jaffna, emphasized the importance of community engagement through military professionalism and discussed the matters related to security on retaining normalcy in the area. Aftermath, Commander, SF-Jaffna planted a sapling to symbolize his official visit to the 52 Infantry Division and appeared for a group photograph.

Extending his visit, Commander, SF-Jaffna also visited 522 Infantry Brigade, 23 Gamunu Watch, 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment and ammunition dumps at Periyapachchapalei. At the culmination of the first day visit, Commander, SF-Jaffna paid a courtesy call on Rev. Fr. Amalraj at St. Mary’s Church Chundikulam.

Commencing the second day of the official visit, Commander SF-Jaffna visited to 521 and 523 Infantry Brigades, 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 4 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment, 7 Vijayabahu and 11 Field Engineer Regiment.

General Officer Commanding, Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers, of 52 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers of respective battalions and troops were associated with the series of events.
