Indian Assistant Defence Advisor Calls on the Commander, SF-J

The Assistant Defence Advisor at the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM, paid a courtesy visit to Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on 02 February 2024.

The visiting Indian Assistant Defence Advisor was warmly welcomed by the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna (SF-J), Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc upon his arrival at the office.

During the cordial meeting, the Commander, SF-J and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM exchanged views on the importance of strengthening the relationship between neighboring countries, military diplomacy to enhance the bond between two nations, civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects, development assistance and the reconciliation process.

Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM signed the Visitors’ Book, marking the significance of the visit to SFHQ-J. Furthermore, Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh Negi SM paid tribute to the memory of fallen Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) war heroes by placing floral wreath at the IPKF Monument.

The exchange of mementos between the Commander, SF -J and the Indian Assistant Defence Advisor culminated the day’s proceedings.
