The 3 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (3 SLAC) Regiment made history with its first-ever Unit Symposium that was themed under ‘Contemporary Challenges, Innovations, and Capability Enhancement of Armour’ on 18 January 2024. Major General S.W.M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces - West and the Colonel Commandant of SLAC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, delivered the keynote speech during the session.
Colonel D.M.G.K.H De Silva psc, presided over the session, while Lieutenant Colonel P.G.I.L Perera RSP provided insights to the audience on Capability and Readiness, Contemporary Challenges, Case Studies, and Innovation and Growth. The session was attended by the Centre Commandant and the Commander of the Armoured Brigade and concluded with an interactive segment and a formal lunch at the Officers' Mess.
