A timely important lecture on ‘Sri Lanka Army War Literature’ and ‘Heroic Defender’ was held at the 11 Infantry Division Headquarters premises in Pallekale on Wednesday (17) January 2024 with the participation of troops serving in 11 Infantry Division and undercommand battalions.
Lieutenant Colonel E.A.A.S Chaminda, Editor-in-Chief of Ranaviruwa Magazine, captivated the audience with military literature, providing insights into wartime experiences. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel T.P.G.K.P de Alwis RWP USP psc enlightened the audience on the qualities of a 'Heroic Defender’.
The event drew a total of 150 attendees, including both Officers and Other Ranks, who were physically present, while an additional 400 troops joined virtually. The interactive session was orchestrated under the guidance of Major General R.M.M Ranasinghe WWV RWP RSP, the General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division. The Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations played a pivotal role in coordinating this engaging and informative session.
