22 Infantry Division, in collaboration with the Lions Club in Trincomalee, organized a Medical Clinic at Headquarters - 22 Infantry Division on 13 January 2024. The clinic included an eye clinic, BMI measurements, blood glucose tests, and a blood donation program.
A total of 341 civilians from various ethnic backgrounds received consultations during the clinic. Among them, 291 individuals underwent eye screening, with 200 receiving spectacles. Additionally, 50 participants generously donated blood during the campaign.
The campaign was led by Mr. Ranjan Janaranjana, the Chairman of Lions Club - Trincomalee, and his members. The medical consultations were provided by Dr. Dissanayake, Dr. Cynthia, and Dr. Safana from the district General Hospital - Trincomalee.
The event was organized by troops of 2 (V) Gajaba Regiment under the direction of Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division and Brigade Commander of 221 Infantry Brigade.
