Corps of Engineer Services Celebrates its 74th Anniversary

The 74th Anniversary of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) was celebrated at the CES Regimental Headquarters in Panagoda Cantonment on 10 January amidst military formalities.

The event was graced by Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services and the Director General Financial Management as the chief guest.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance after he was welcomed by Senior Officers at the venue. Afterwards, Colonel Commandant paid floral tributes to the War Heroes' monument inside the regimental centre. The day’s Chief Guest was invited to review the Guard of Honour before he delivered a formal address to the troops. The Chief Guest was afterwards invited to leave memories by planting a sapling inside the camp premises to symbolize the day's significant event.

Senior officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of CES participated in the anniversary arrangements.
