Troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade and the 11 Sri Lanka National Guard (11 SLNG), in collaboration with government officials and local residents coordinated a beach cleaning program on 06 January 2024 at the coastal area of Akkaraipattu.
The initiative was closely monitored by Brigadier L.S.D.N Pathirathna RSP USP, Commander, 241 Infantry Brigade. Five officers and 45 troops from the Brigade, along with personnel from the 11 SLNG and staff from the Divisional Secretariats of Addalachchena, Akkaraipattu and Aliadiwembu actively participated in the program.
