Troops under 12 Infantry Division Team Up with Public to Combat Dengue

Intended to further boost the ongoing National Dengue Prevention campaign, troops serving under 12 Infantry Division joined hands together with all government officials and volunteers involved in the eradication project on Sunday (07 January).

The project covered MOH office areas in Hambanthota and Monaragala. 187 Army personnel in respective areas participated in the community project and inspected mosquito-breeding domestic compounds and educated the public with PHIs. They also conducted inspections on schools, public places while identifying potential breeding grounds for mosquitoes.

Further, Army’s involvement in this community project was closely monitored by the General Officer Commanding, 12 Infantry Division, respective Brigade Commanders and Commanding Officers.
