SLSC Throws Social Get-together for Retired All Ranks

3,4 and 9 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) Regiments of the Army in view of the festive season organized a social gathering for their retired Officers and Other Ranks at 4 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (4 SLSC) camp premises in Anuradhapura on 23 December 2023 after inviting all those resident in Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Vavuniya, Puttalam, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu and Jaffna districts.

The arrangement was made on a suggestion, made by Major General K.A.W.S Ratnayake ndu, the Chief Signal Officer of the Army who is also the SLSC Colonel Commandant. A gathering of 78 retired All Ranks had a day of amusement interacting with one another while recalling past memories during their service in respective regimental units.

The lighting of the traditional oil lamp and a 2-minute silence for war heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. The Commanding Officer of 3 Sri Lanka Signal Corps addressed the gathering and displayed a video clip that educated the gathering on the latest technical developments in the SLSC.

The final lap of the day's programme, blended with a musical entertainment, presented by a music band plus a sumptuous lunch brought the proceedings to an end.
