Provost Marshal Opens New Facility at Giritale

The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), Major General A.C.A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc made an official visit to the School of Military Police, Giritale on 24 December 2023.

Upon his arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the School of Military Police, Colonel D.D.D Seresainghe USP along with all Officers after SLCMP troops saluted him in a formal Guard Turnout.

Next, Major General A.C.A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc unveiled a plaque and opened the newly-constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess plus accommodation building.

Afterwards all the senior officers had a close look at the new facility, comprised of modern features and several other facilities that fulfil a longstanding requirement of the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of the SLCMP.

Afterwards, the visiting Colonel Commandant addressed the troops and expressed his visionary ideas, guidance, and values of soldering as a provost in contemporary situations.

Moreover, he highlighted the importance of discipline at all levels, military training, personal discipline, the way of enhancing the professional knowledge of Provost Officers and Other Ranks and the continuation of excellent dedicated services.

The Commandant of the School of Military Police, Senior Officers, Officers and Permanent Staff of SLCMP participated in the event.
