The certificate-awarding ceremony of the extraordinary two-day long "Leadership Training" course, attended by school prefects of all three major ethnicity from 11 schools in the East took place on Friday (22) at Battalion Training School of the 23 Infantry Division in Punani , graced by the Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander, SF-East and programme's brainchild, Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division.
The team of trainetos of the Army included the General Officer Commanding and 06 Officers of the 23 Infantry Division who conducted the workshop skillfully intertwined with theoretical explanations and practical demonstrations which finally delivered a comprehensive learning journey for all the participants involved. The Commander, SF – East as the chief guest gave away certificates to the participants.
Three young leaders from three different were given a chance to spell out the experience they have had during the workshop. The event was further followed by a tea arrangement which enabled the young leaders to interact with the Commander Security Forces-East and express their thoughts.
Staff Officers of the SFHQ - East, Divisional staff, Officers, Other Ranks and tutorial staff of the 11 Schools also took part in the event.
