High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Gopal Baglay along with six officials from the High Commission of India in Colombo and Consulate General of India in Jaffna, Mr Shri Raakesh Natraj paid tribute to the memory of fallen Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) War Heroes by placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument in Jaffna on 01 December.
Representing the Commander Security Forces -Jaffna, Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 52 Infantry Division, Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc participated in the brief event.
Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier K.J.N.M.P.K Nawarathne RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Colonel K Weerasinghe USP, Senior Officers, Officers and Security Forces Headquarters -Jaffna troops also attended the ceremony.
