Sri Lankan ‘Mitra Shakthi - 2023’ Contingent Arrives Home

The Sri Lanka Army contingent of 29 Officers and 94 Other Ranks who successfully completed the jointly-organized ‘Mitra Shakthi’ military Exercise between the Sri Lanka Army and the Indian Army in Pune, India during 16-28 November arrived home this morning (30 Nov).

The 9th Edition of the Joint Military Exercise 'Mitra Shakti-2023' formally commenced on 16 November, joined by 120 troops of the Indian Army, 123 troops of the Sri Lanka Army, 15 troops of the Indian Air Force and 05 troops of the Sri Lanka Air Force. It formally concluded on Monday (28 Nov) in Aundh, Pune.

Major General C.S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc IG, General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division, Brigadier P.K.S Nandana RSP USP psc, Director of Directorate of Training, Colonel K.H.M.U.B Kolongahapitiya USP, Commander of 122 Infantry Brigade and a few Senior Officers were also present at Mattala Mahinda Rajapaksa International airport to welcome the contingent.
