SLACCC in Mali Begins Security Duties at Gao International Airport in Mali

The 5th contingent of the Sri Lanka Army Combat Convoy Company (SLACCC) in Mali accepted their turn of security duties from the Bangladesh Peacekeeping battalion at the GAO International Airport.

As per directions given by the Force Headquarters of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), SLACCC troops will continue such duty roles up until 10 December 2023 after the troops began their duties on 15 November 2023.

Colonel W.W.N.P Wickramarachchi, the SLACCC Contingent Commander made a formal visit to the GAO International Airport and conducted a thorough inspection and inspected established security networks and vulnerable points at the GAO International Airport.
