68 Infantry Division Troops Use Own Cash to Provide Dry Rations to the Deserving

Generous troops of the 681 Infantry Brigade in a goodwill gesture on the dawn of auspicious 'Deepavali' pocked out own cash and provided dry ration parcels, each worth Rs 4500/= to 12 needy families living in Udayarkattu on 12 November after taking those essentials to their doorstep.

Troops serving the 681 Infantry organized the distribution in close consultation with respective Grama Seva officials.

Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding of 68 Infantry Division and Brigadier S. Wijesiriwardana RWP RSP, Commander of 681 Infantry Brigade gave necessary directions and guidelines for the success of the event.
