23 Infantry Division Troops Educated on ‘Army Accounting Procedures’

The 23 Infantry Division HQ of the Security Force HQ-East organized an educational workshop on Army accounting procedures for the troops of the 23 Infantry Division and its subordinate units on 14 November 2023.

The aim was to elevate and refine their understanding of accounting procedures and ensure their accurate application across various domains. The workshop was conducted at the 23 Infantry Division Headquarters in Punani.

The workshop was conducted by SF East Accountant Officer, Major M.U.I.C Gunawardana and his team where the workshop specifically targeted the clerks responsible for financial affairs in their respective headquarters.

A total of 70 account clerks actively participated in the session, gaining insights into various financial practices within the Army and addressing practical challenges they may encounter.

Commander Security Forces - East, Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG and General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division, Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP psc provided necessary guidelines and direction for the success of the event.
