SLAMC Officers Join Training Day at their Regimental HQ

The Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) conducted its quarterly Officers' Training Day on Wednesday (01 November 2023) at the SLAMC Regimental Headquarters in Werahara under the supervision and guidance of the Colonel Commandant, Major General P.A.C. Fernando USP and the Centre Commandant, Brigadier W.A.U.S. Wanasekara RWP USP. Over 140 Officers joined the training day sessions.

The day's proceedings commenced with morning physical training for all Officers, followed by Cane/Sword drills. Thereafter, Major W.G.J.M.D.S. Jayasinghe conducted a presentation on the “Auditing Procedures of Non-Public Funds,” which was especially useful for the young Officers.

Colonel W.M.A.N. Warnasooriya ato, Commandant of the School of Ordnance afterwards presented a lecture on the “Procurement Procedures of the Sri Lanka Army.” The evening session followed recreation, with the participation of all Officers who joined to play Cricket and Volleyball.

The Diners’ Club arrangement began afterwards after the presentation made by Mr. Nilanthan Niruthan, which was timely and worthy. It focused on “Latest Battles in the World and AI Technologies Used in Those Battles”. The day's proceedings came to an end with the dinner organized at the Officers' Mess.
