Ten newly-appointed Heads of Mission for Sri Lanka (Ambassadors and High Commissioners) for the Republic of Bangladesh, Kingdom of Belgium, European Union, Republic of Cuba, Arab Republic of Egypt, Italian Republic, Federal Republic of Nepal, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Republic of Singapore and Republic of India recently called at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Sunday (05 Nov) for a special orientation programme.
The visiting Ambassadors and High Commissioners were warmly welcomed by the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc on their arrival at the SFHQ-J.
Afterwards, during a comprehensive briefing and discussion between the Tri-Service Commanders in the North and the visitors, both parties exchanged views on the security situation in the Northern Province, civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects and development assistance and reconciliation projects.
Northern Commanders of Tri-Forces, Principal Staff Officers and Senior Officers took part in the programme.
