SLAVF Deputy Commandant, Chief Guest at Prize-giving in Hatton School

Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, Deputy Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) graced the annual prize-giving ceremony at St. Gabriel's National Girls' College, Hatton as the chief guest on the invitation of Mrs. H.W.D. Weerathunga, Principal of the College on (Monday) 30 October 2023.

Upon arrival at the College, the SLAVF Deputy Commandant was warmly received by the Principal along with students who presented customary greetings with their accompanying band.

The event recognized achievers of the college in studies as well as in sports. The Deputy Commandant shared his thoughts in a message on the significance of the efforts being made by the principal and all the teachers reflecting the value of diverse and comprehensive education modules provided by the school.

The event symbolized a positive catalyst to achievers as well as the pursuers for their future successes. During the prize giving ceremony, he emphasized on the discipline and the knowledge to be inculcated as primary aspects among school children that would in turn reward to reach their goals.

In conclusion, the Deputy Commandant extended his compliments to the teachers and award recipients.
