To coincide with the 20th Anniversary commemoration of the Security Forces Headquarters - East in close co-operation with the Blood Bank at Polonnaruwa Hospital, 100 Officers and Other Ranks offered their blood for the benefit of patients on Thursday (2) during a blood donation programme, held at the SFHQ-East.
Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander, SFHQ - East himself joined the project and donated blood to mark the 20th Anniversary. A medical team of the hospital took part in the programme and praised the Army for their generosity.
