Troops of the 12 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) of the 232 Infantry Brigade under the 23 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - East organized a medical campaign to examine vision impairments and provide 150 free spectacles to needy civilians in Thoppigala area on 28 October at the Pulipanchikal MOH office complex.
The sponsorship for this project was provided by ‘George Gunarathne Opticians Limited’ at the request of the Army.
Before those spectacles were distributed, all the attendees were provided with refreshments and all facilities for testing and consultations.
