Colonel B.K.S.L Rodrigo RSP of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment assumed duties as the new Commandant of Army Physical Training School (APTS) at Panagoda on Thursday (12 Oct) during a simple ceremony.
He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document in the presence of several Officers of the APTS. He addressed the troops in the compound and explained his vision and future developments of the APTS.
He succeeds Brigadier K.A.D.C.R Kannangara RSP, who has now been appointed as the Commander of the 522 Infantry Brigade.
