8 SLNG Troops Clean Sangamangramam to Vinayagapuram Beach Patch

8 Sri Lanka National Guard (8 SLNG) troops of the 242 Infantry Brigade and the 24 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - East (SFHQ-E) launched a cleaning programme to clean the coastal beach patch from Sangamangramam to Vinayagapuram on Thursday (21 Sept).

Accordingly, troops collected all pollutants and waste matter along the beach with the support of Thirukkovil Pradeshiya Sabha and office of the Thirukkovil Medical Officer of Health and a gathering of residents of Thirukkovil.

The project was conducted under the guidance of the Commander, SF-E, General Officer Commanding of the 24 Infantry Division and Commander, 242 Infantry Brigade. Commanding Officer of 8 SLNG closely monitored the process.
