A special World Children’s Day programme, launched by the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C) got underway for students of Diyatalawa Kadurugamuwa Mihindu Vidyalaya with the support of Bandarawela Lions Club on 3 October.
As the first segment of the programme, Colonel W.A.J Hemachandra RSP psc, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ-Central delivered a comprehensive lecture on ‘Leadership Quality’ for students at Diyathalawa Kadurugamuwa Mihidu Vidyalaya before packs of school accessories were given to primary students in the same school after inviting them to the Golf Club ground at Diyatalawa.
Towards the conclusion of the day’s event, SFHQ Central troops offered a delicious lunch to all students and teachers of the school as a community treat.
Major General W.W.H.R.D.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces- Central gave necessary directions to the success of the event.
