The Officer Cadets Intake 92 and 92B of Sri Lanka Military Academy visited the Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaitivu on Wednesday (20 Sep).
This visit was a part of their training curriculum and familiarization project.
On behalf of the Commander, Security Forces - Mullaitivu, Major General M.K Jayawardana RSP VSV USP ndu, the visiting Officer Cadets were warmly welcomed by the Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna, Brigadier S.D.P.C Arachchige.
The visiting delegation was comprised of 66 Officer Cadets and 4 course Officers. They were given a comprehensive briefing on Mullaitivu area, and development of the Security Force HQ - Mullaitivu, role and responsibility of Security Forces -Mullaitivu and civil community projects by Colonel General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaitivu, Colonel M.D.S.N Karunarathne psc.
During the visit, the delegation watched the Submarine area and the victory monument. Subsequently, they reached the 68 Infantry Division camp and were warmly received by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 68 Infantry Division, Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc. At the end of the session, the Officer Cadets presented a memento to the GOC, 68 Infantry Division, as a token of appreciation.
