143 Infantry Brigade Initiative Provides Air Mattresses to Puttalam Patients

Reflecting the coordination that exists between military and government authorities, an initiative was taken by the 143 Infantry Brigade of the 14 Infantry Division in Puttalam under command to the Security Force Headquarters -West to address the shortage of air mattresses at Puttalam Base Hospital with the support of donors.

Showing their generosity and compassion towards own citizenry, Mr Mohommad Rizvi, Mr Mohommad Naushad, Mrs Ruwani Farm, Mr Nuwan Rathnayake and Mr Sanjeewa Samarasinghe supported the Army gesture and jointly sponsored the cost of those 5 air mattresses at the request of the Army.

With the blessings of Brigadier T.M.F. Kitchilan RWP RSP, the 143 Infantry Brigade Commander, with the support of the Commanding Officer of 16 Gajaba Regiment, Major S.A.D.P Jayararatne USP and his troops took those health aids to the Puttalam Base Hospital on 24 August 2023 and formally handed them over to the Director at the hospital.
