The 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) troops of the 521 Infantry Brigade of the 52 Infantry Division under the Security Force HQ - Jaffna with the support of a donor arranged two scholarships to two deserving students of five and nine years of age, resident in Nelliady and Point Pedro areas.
Each financial grant of Rs. 2000/= payable every month for a period of five years is expected to cover educational expenses of those clever students until they complete their primary education.
The Commanding Officer, 4 SLSR, together with the respective Grama Niladhari officials, Development Officers, Samurdhi Niladhari, parents and relations were present at 'Kalaimadee' Reading Hall in Nelliady during the award of those two scholarships on Sunday (2 September).
