New Director Overseas Operations Assumes Office

Brigadier G.L.S.W Liyanage USP psc assumed duties as the new Director, Overseas Operations at Directorate of Overseas Operations at the Army Headquarters on Monday (21 August) during a brief religious ceremony.

The incoming Director symbolically placed his signature for a formal document signifying the acceptance of the new appointment at the auspicious minute.

The new Director, Brigadier G.L.S.W Liyanage USP psc served as the Directorate of Information Technology of Sri Lanka Army at the Army Headquarters, prior to this appointment.

Soon after the assumption of duties, he spoke to the officers and members of the staff and set out his vision for the Directorate in the future. Further, he met Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Director General General Staff at his office and received guidelines and best wishes.

He succeeded Major General P.P.A Perera Hdmc psc who has now been appointed the Chief of Staff of Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (OCDS).

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Overseas Operations were present at the occasion.
