The Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) held a formal farewell ceremony to the outgoing Colonel Commandant Major General D. M. K. D. B Pussella RWP RSP on Saturday (19 August).
A Guard Turnout, accorded to the outgoing Colonel Commandant at the entrance greeted him on arrival and he was afterwards invited to review the Guard of Honour and receive the salute presented by SLAGSC troops. He left a few complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book, associated with his tenure.
In the middle of the formalities, he took time off to address the troops where he offered his sincere gratitude to All Ranks for their high standards of professionalism, maintained and service rendered to the regiment.
The programme ended with a customary mess night at the Regimental Officers’ Mess. Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers and All Ranks witnessed the military formalities.
