GOC Engineer Division Visits 4 (V) Engineer Regiment

General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Engineer Division Major General S.A Kulathunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, paid a formal visit to the 4 (V) Engineer Regiment on Wednesday (02 August) at the invitation of the Commanding Officer.

On arrival, the GOC of the Engineer Division was accorded a Guard Turnout and he was afterwards invited to plant a mango sapling as symbol of memory of his first visit.

The Commanding Officer conducted a briefing about history, projects, operational commitments and the administration matters of the unit. The GOC then addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the unit.

vThe General Officer Commanding in his address emphasized the great contribution done by forefathers of the unit and their contribution in the construction field and many other fields such as sports with expertise and professional approach.

He appreciated the commendable support given by troops especially in nation-building tasks and all construction works, being carried out in the Army. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all.

Afterwards, the GOC had a look around the camp premises.
