Mullaittivu Commander Familiarizes with FMA Logistics

Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaitivu (SF-MLT) conducted a familiarization tour to the Forward Maintenance Area - Mullaitivu (FMA- MLT) HQ and its under command Battalions on Wednesday (Aug 02).

At first, he was received by Brigadier D.A Amarasekara USP, Commander, FMA- MLT after he was saluted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance. Commander, SF-MLT posed for a few group photographs before the Commander, FMA- MLT briefed him on the role and tasks of the FMA- MLT before the visiting MLT Commander interacted with the troops during an All Rank tea arrangement at the premises.

Afterwards, Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu visited the Army Base Hospital in Mullaittivu and 6 Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps camp where he addressed all FMA - MLT troops and under command troops. Later on, he inspected the 7 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps camp before he reached 6 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps camp for inspection.

Towards the end, the FMA- MLT presented a special memento to the visiting Commander, FMA- MLT. He also penned down some complimentary remarks in the FMA- MLT visitors' book before his departure. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the day's itinerary.
