55 Infantry Division's GOC Familiarizes with His Troops

Major General M.K.U.P Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 55 Infantry Division recently paid a visit to the 552 Infantry Brigade in Pooneryn where Colonel D.S.S Radalage RWP RSP, Commander, 552 Infantry Brigade received him after he was saluted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

Moments later, Commander, 552 Infantry Brigade briefed the GOC, 55 Infantry Division on the role and tasks of the Brigade at the conference hall before he was invited to pose for a few group photographs.

Afterwards, he reached 2 Sri Lanka National Guard camp at Jayapuram, where he addressed the troops of 552 Infantry Brigade and its under command Battalions before inspecting the camp premises and each and every Company detachment. He inquired about the well-being of troops and afterwards he visited 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment camp at Vettakadu before the end of his itinerary.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks also took part in the day's arrangement.
