The International Half Marathon-2023, organized by Arugambay Development Forum (ADF) in collaboration with the 242 Infantry Brigade of the 24 Infantry Division on Sunday (23 July) at Arugambay got underway under the theme ‘Visit Sri Lanka’ with the aim of promoting tourism in Sri Lanka.
The event was conducted under three categories as 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km. A total of 220 foreign and local runners participated in the events and the Commander, 242 Infantry Brigade, Colonel K.P.L Amunupure RWP RSP USP, Commanding Officer 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Civil Affairs Officer of 242 Infantry Brigade, Officers and Other Ranks were among Army participants in those events.
