The Directorate of Training at the Army Headquarters arranged a three-day training programme on 'Weapon Simulator Training' for Army instructors serving in island-wide Army training schools during July 19-21 at the Sri Lanka Signal Corps Regimental Centre in Panagoda.
One Officer and 33 Other Ranks representing 12 Army Training establishments participated in the programme and the session was conducted by the instructors of the Centre for Defence Research and Development (CDRD), instructors of Research Analysis Projection and Development (RAP & D) Wing of Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine together with the Sri Lanka Signal Corps instructors.
The session was initiated according to a concept of Brigadier P.K.S Nandana RSP USP psc, Director, Directorate of Training. During the workshop, participants were educated on operation, maintenance and conduct of training using simulator systems.
