SF Central Commander Calls at SLMA

Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces-Central made a visit to the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on 15 July upon assumption of his new office.

In accordance with military traditions, Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment troops at the entrance presented a Guard Turnout to the visiting new Central Commander on his arrival. Afterwards, the Commander, SF-Central paid tribute to SLMA War Heroes at the monument by laying flower bouquets.

Next, Major General I.A.N.B Perera RWP USP ndu psc, Commandant, SLMA invited Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc to have a close interaction with Officer Cadets under training at the Officer Cadets' mess.

At the end of the his formal visit, Major General I.A.N.B Perera RWP USP ndu psc, Commandant of SLMA presented a memento to the visiting Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc as a token of appreciation. The gesture was reciprocated.

Before his departure, he made a complimentary note in the visitors’ book at the SLMA.
