Achievers in Para Athletic World Championship Return Home amid Warm Welcome

The Sri Lanka's Para Athletes who performed in the Para Athletic World Championship 2023, held in Paris returned home on Wednesday (19) to be received in a warm welcome at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport.

The officials of Sri Lanka National Para Committee and the Army Para Committee were there to greet them. Representing the country in the national team, three Para Athletes participated in the Paris championship, including the Warrant Officer-1, D. Priyantha of Gajaba Regiment (Medically Boarded out) and sponsored by National Para Committee and the Staff Sergeant K.A.S Dulan of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Military Police who won the Bronze Medal in Javelin Throw F-46 and F 44 categories respectively.

Brigadier J.P Vithanachchi, Vice chairmen of Sri Lanka Army Para Committee, Colonel Deepal Herath (Rtd), President of the National Para Committee, Officials of the National Para Committee, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Army were present there to welcome those para-athletes.
