The certificate-awarding to those who completed the half-year long internationally-recognized National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 and 4 Vocational Training Courses such as the electrician course, wood craftsman course, masonry course, plumber course, bakery course, cookery course and steward course got underway at the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at Kalaoya on Tuesday (11 July).
Brigadier H.V Anil Somaweera RWP RSP USP, Commandant, CAVT attended the awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest and gave away NVQ certificates in the presence of Vocational Training Authority officials.
65 Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) from various Regiments followed the 6-month long courses in collaboration with the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka.
Senior Officers, Officers, Instructors and Other ranks participated in the certificate awarding ceremony.
