Former Gajaba Regiment Veteran Meets Army Chief

Lieutenant General Jagath Dias (Retd) WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc, one of the most senior veterans in the ‘Keterian’ family, Gajaba Regiment and a former Chief of Staff of the Army this morning (13 July) paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army at the Army HQ.

Lieutenant General Jagath Dias (Retd), one of the proud products of the Gajaba Regiment and retired from the Army in December 2015 and is famed as a distinguished warrior due to his dedicated sacrifices and the notable service to the Army at operational, administrative and academic levels.

The Army Chief during the brief interactive meeting recalled the retired Senior Officer’s valuable contribution to the Army holding varied and responsible appointments during his career of more than 35 years. He also extended best wishes to the visiting senior Keterian by presenting a memento.
