SLAWC Officers on Training Day Listen to Informative Lectures

The second quarter of the Officers’ Training Day - 2023 of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), organized by the SLAWC Regimental Centre was held on 28 June 2023 at the Regimental Centre Corps of Engineer Services (CES) Regimental HQ- Panagoda with the participation of Army Senior Officers/Officers.

It was conducted under the guidance of Major General U. D Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps and Commander, Security Forces - East. Brigadier J.K.R Jayakody RWP USP, the SLAWC supervised the project, meant to enhance the general standards of regimentation, professionalism, development and cohesiveness of SLAWC Officers.

The day's proceedings commenced with a lecture on “Philosophy of Femininity & Righteousness of Women’s Role-Play for Balance Society” by Major J.T.P.K.P Alwis, Commanding Officer- 1 Special Forces Regiment. Lieutenant Colonel K.M Muthaliff (Retd) SLAWC, Freelance Counsellor/Therapist and also a retired senior Officer of 1 SLAWC conducted fruitful lectures as the second session of Officers’ Training Day programme. Mrs. Bhagya Abeysinghe, Counsellor of Psychology also delivered a useful lecture on “Women Beyond the Love Triangle”.

The Diners' Club event was conducted on “History of Sri Lankan Culture” to enhance knowledge by Lieutenant Colonel S.M.N.K.B Senevirathne RWP RSP psc, the Commanding Officer of 3 Special Forces Regiment. In addition to that session Major T.T.K.K Fernando psc, the Commanding Officer of 1 SLAWC conducted a short presentation about the future projects of Regimental Centre and importance of following Courses by SLAWC Officers.
