Troops serving at Colombo Army Hospital bade farewell to one of the most renowned Senior Officers, the retiring Consultant Radiologist, Major General (Dr) S.H Munasinghe RWP RSP VSV USP on Wednesday (June 28) in a fitting ceremony at the hospital premises.
On arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Brigadier J.P Withanarachchi RWP USP, Director, Directorate of Management and Maintenance at the hospital and Brigadier W.H.U.D Wijerathna, Director at Colombo Army Hospital after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout by the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) troops soon after he arrived at the location.
Afterwards, he addressed the troops at the premises as a formality and gratefully acknowledged the support and cooperation he received from all quarters during his tenure. Towards the end of the address, he was awarded a special appreciative memento by Major General P.A.C Fernando USP, Director General Army Health Services and Colonel Commandant of the SLAMC.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks took part in the event.
