Junior Prefects at Dharmapala Vidyalaya Receive Leadership Training

Sri Lanka Army Engineers' Division responding to a special request made by the Principal on Saturday (June 24) held a specially-designed full-day leadership training programme for 68 junior prefects at Dharmapla Vidyalaya in Kottawa North.

With the blessings of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, the General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, Major General S.A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc organized it completely and supervised the leadership programme, meant to develop students’ leadership qualities, teamwork, team-building and team capacities, personality and social etiquettes, etc.

The leadership programme encompassed lectures, indoor and outdoor activities, and leadership in order to enhance the knowledge and skills on leadership and ensure competence in the young leadership to groom themselves in a determined way through realistic approach while letting them know the effective ways for achievement and the art of leadership.

Lieutenant Colonel M.D.J Wickramarachchi USP psc, Colonel General Staff of Sri Lanka Engineer Division graced the certificate-awarding ceremony as the chief guest, together with the Principal at the Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Kottawa North, Mr. Udayaruwan Mallikarachchi. Several Senior Officers, Officers, trainers, teachers and parents also took part in the final awarding ceremony.
