Major General M.K. Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the recently-appointed Commander Security Forces - Mullaitivu visited the 59 Infantry Division HQ on Wednesday (21 June) after assumption of his duties as the new Commander, SF- Mullaitivu.
A Guard Turnout greeted him at the main entrance before he was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding, 59 Infantry Division. Afterwards, he received a briefing on the role and tasks of the Division and its responsibilities from the General Officer Commanding and Staff Officers.
He interacted with the Officers and posed for a few group photographs with the Divisional staff. Before his departure, he inked some of his thoughts in the visitors' book as well.
