Mullaittivu Commander Familiarizes with his Troops

Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces - Mullaitivu (SF-MLT) paid his maiden visit to the 57 Infantry Division HQ, located in Kilinochchi on Tuesday (June 13).

At first, the Commander, SF-MLT paid a floral tribute to the Kokavil War Heroes' Memorial on his way before reaching the 57 Infantry Division. Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding of the 57 Infantry Division warmly welcomed the visiting Senior Officer after he was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

Afterwards, he interacted with the troops during an All Rank tea arranged before making for the Battalion Training School (BTS) at Anawilandankulam, managed under the Division. He addressed 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops who just completed the training at the BTS and awarded trophies to the achievers.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the day’s agenda.
