ICRC Delegates Exchange Views with Jaffna Commander

Mr. Severine Chappaz, the Head of Delegation and Mr. Aleksandr Burov, the Head of Sub Delegation representing the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General S.R.K Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc on Wednesday (14 June) at the Security Forces Headquarters during a visit to the North.

The visiting delegation was warmly welcomed by the Commander on arrival at the SFHQ-J office premises.

During the cordial meeting, the Jaffna Commander and visiting ICRC delegates exchanged views on civil-military cooperation, social welfare projects, security concerns, development assistance and the reconciliation process.

Towards the end, mementos were exchanged as tokens of goodwill.
