Major General Lalith Herath, Chief Signal Officer (CSO) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) paid a courtesy visit to the 9 SLSC camp in Iranamadu on Sunday (Feb 12) at the request of Lieutenant Colonel B.M.M.B Herath, Commanding Officer (CO), 9 SLSC.
The visiting Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the CO, 9 SLSC and was honoured in a Guard Turnout in accordance with military formalities before he was invited to plant a mango sapling inside the compound.
Afterwards, all Officers sat for a group photograph and the CSO afterwards warmed the newly-renovated auditorium, gymnasium and the library complex inside the camp compound. After a while, the visiting CSO addressed the troops and lent his guidance and best wishes. Towards the end of the day's programme, he was presented a symbolic memento, appreciating his exemplary service rendered to the Army.
Finally, he participated in an all rank tea and sat for lunch with all officers before he left a couple of thoughts and compliments in the Visitors’ Book prior to his departure.
