The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC), 68 Infantry Division, Major General Senaka Kasthurimudali made courtesy visits to his under-command 681 and 682 Infantry Brigades after he assumed duties as the new GOC, 68 Infantry Division, during Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb 28 and March 1).
The Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Dammika Gunathunga, Commander, 681 Infantry Brigade and Colonel W.W.K Rohan, Commander, 682 Infantry Brigade at their respective entrances on arrival after Guard Turnouts greeted him.
Afterwards, the GOC was invited to plant saplings inside both camp premises to symbolize the visit before he inspected the locations and addressed the troops. Before his exit from the Brigades, he penned a few compliments and thoughts in the visitors' books.
